Instagram has announced that it has launched a new Events channel under the Explore section of its application. The new feature will allow users to view videos from concerts and other events from all over the world.

Instagram has presented a new Events channel that will allow users to watch videos from concerts, sports competitions, and other events that take place all over the world. The new channel comes with tools that enable users to personalize their experience and watch only what might interest them.

Instagram states that the feature is currently available only in the United States, but the company intends to launch it in other countries too soon.

Just earlier this month, Instagram introduced a new feature to its application called Stories. If it sounds familiar, that's because the feature is actually strikingly similar to the one found in Snapchat. Stories would allow users to share moments of their day, including pictures and videos. However, the section doesn't let users like or publicly comment on shared content.

Instagram seems determined to offer additional features inspired by Snapchat, since just a few days ago, the company updated its Android and iOS applications with new slide to zoom options while recording inside the Stories section.

Instagram's newly released Events channel also resembles a feature offered by Snapchat, called Live Stories. Snapchat's feature offers pictures and videos publicly shared by users at an event.
