Apple’s new iPhone 5c smartphone is now available for purchase through Best Buy at only $50 (€37) on contract, and will remain so until Monday, October 7.

The retailer offers buyers a $50 gift card with the phone and allows them to use it for cutting off the $99 (€73) price tag that it is currently asking for the device, as abcnews notes.

The same gift card is available for the purchase of Samsung Galaxy S4 devices as well, so that users could get the phone at only $150 (€110).

"We view ourselves as a company that offers consumers something they can't get anywhere else -- all the phones, all the plans, all the carriers -- and look for any opportunity to delight our customers," Shandra Tollefson, a Best Buy official, said in a statement.

Users in the United States can purchase the iPhone 5c at lower prices through other retailers as well, including Walmart, which has it at $80 (€59).
