Even though it’s not among the most popular navigation apps for Android devices, iOnRoad’s Augmented Driving application slowly becomes one of the best software for drivers.

The latest version of the application has just received several new features and improvements, which makes it even better.

We’re not sure if the update also brought some unexpected bugs as well, but according to the latest users’ comments, no issues have been identified yet.

With the latest version of iOnRoad Augmented Driving Lite, users will be able to take advantage of the new video recording black-box feature. Keep in mind that this feature is only available for devices powered by Android 4.0 ICS and up.

In addition, the application received improved vehicle detection range, major performance improvement, lower battery consumption, decreased device heating and various bug fixes. There’s also a new weather service.

iOnRoad Augmented Driving Lite 1.3 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
