One of the most anticipated devices coming out this summer is the Huawei Nexus smartphone, which is expected to make it out into the wild with a 5.7-inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 810.

Well, a new report spotted at G for Games indicates that Samsung is looking to diversify the consumer base for its AMOLED panels. Traditionally, AMOLED panels go into Samsung devices, but this year we might get to see one of Google’s upcoming Nexus smartphones take advantage of this technology.

Sure, Chinese smartphone makers like Oppo and Vivo have been using Samsung’s AMOLED panels, but securing this partnership with Huawei over the next Nexus would be an incredible opportunity for Samsung Display.

We shouldn’t forget that Huawei has become the world’s fourth smartphone manufacturer, so slowly, the partnership between the two companies could expand, with more Huawei devices getting the AMOLED treatment in the future.

Google is expected to unveil not one but two Nexus devices this year, the other one being the LG-made Nexus 5 (2015), which we told you earlier this week is poised to make a debut with a 5.2-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) and the unannounced Snapdragon 620 chipset running under the hood.
