We reported earlier today that Huawei Mate 8 was rumored to be unveiled in early September during the IFA 2015 trade fair.

However, it looks like a new report coming from China claims that the smartphone is not ready for a 2015 launch and that Huawei has decided to postpone the Mate 8 to 2016.

The same report claims Huawei will still launch a high-end smartphone at IFA 2015, but it won't be the Mate 8 as we previously reported.

The Chinese company will finally bring the Huawei Mate 7 Plus to the world. For those who don't remember, the first rumors on the premium version of Huawei Mate 7 date from December 2014, which is quite a long time ago.

Today, sources from China claim Huawei Mate 7 Plus will be announced on September 2 in Berlin, Germany. No word on specs yet, but we do know that it will come with enhanced features over the regular version.

The standard version of Huawei Mate 7 comes with a large 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The phablet is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, a Mali-T628 graphics processing unit, 2GB/3GB of RAM, and 16GB/32GB of storage.
