Shortly after Google announced the name of the upcoming Android version, HTC has taken to Twitter to inform customers that it will be providing Android Nougat upgrades to some of the company's smartphones.

HTC One M9, One A9, and HTC 10 will be receiving upgrades to Android Nougat. This isn't the first time the Taiwanese make such an announcement, as in May of this year, they confirmed that these three smartphone models would be receiving upgrades to Android N.

This time, HTC has revealed the information on its Twitter account, but what it hasn't said is when exactly the three models will be upgraded to Android Nougat. However, the company has teased that it will be revealing the date after Google ships Android Nougat to manufacturers.

HTC One A9 launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, just as the HTC 10, which is the company's current flagship smartphone. HTC One M9 was last year's flagship, and it launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop and received Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the meantime.

The text also hints that additional devices will be announced, one of which should concern the One M8. Last year, HTC updated unlocked models of HTC One M9 to Marshmallow in late December, which means that the three devices could see the update to Nougat before the year’s end.
