Not so long ago, HTC unveiled a new version of its One M9+ smartphone dubbed the Aurora Edition, and this week the company has launched another handset, but without making a big fuss about it.

The HTC One E9s dual SIM has been quietly listed on the company’s Indian official website without any official announcement on the matter. What we’re looking at is not actually a variant of the One E9, but more like a revamped Desire 820.

The phone takes advantage of a 5.5-inch 720p display (the E9 boasted 1080p resolution) with a MediaTek MT6752M processor on the inside, working in combination with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Luckily, there’s a microSDXC card slot on board, which can be used to expand memory up to 2TB.

The phone features a 13MP main camera with auto-focus, BSI sensor and 1080p video recording, plus an HTC UltraPixel camera up in front with BSI sensor and 1080p video recording. Other specifications include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), and microUSB 2.0 port.

The new handset runs on an unnamed version of Android, although we have to assume Android Lollipop is being offered here with Sense UI on top. We just told you that the One E9 is going to be among the first smartphones from HTC to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, but don’t count on the One E9s getting it as fast too.

HTC hasn’t announced pricing specifications for the One E9s.
