We all know that HTC is prepping a new flagship product dubbed by the rumor mill the One A9, which is the “hero” product the company’s CEO talked about a while ago. While we don’t know for sure when the phone will go live, the latest hearsay indicates that the One A9 will probably launch on September 29.

If that date sounds familiar to you, it's because Google too announced a press event on the same day, during which we’re probably going to see the LG- and Huawei-made Nexuses make a debut into the wild along with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.

Which might be or might not be a coincidence. According to leakster @LlabTooFeR, the HTC One A9 might be among the first devices to launch with Android 6.0 out of the box (with Sense 7 UI plastered on top).

According to the latest info we have on the One A9, the device will come equipped with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

We’re also told that HTC is going to employ the help of a very powerful 64-bit 2.5GHz deca-core MediaTek MT6797 chipset that features a Tri-Cluster architecture. Furthermore, the company will probably throw in 4GB of RAM too.

It is estimated that the handset will be sold for about $600 in the US.
