Google is constantly updating its proprietary applications with lots of new features and tools. It seems that a new feature might be arriving soon, one that would allow the application to show albums in search results.

The introduction of the new Google Photos feature means that, when the user searches for a specific word, like dogs, the photos in albums will be included in the search results.

In addition, items found by object recognition will also be included, as well as full albums containing photos of dogs. It seems that the new feature has started rolling out only server-side, according to Android Police.

In order to display accurate results, the feature requires the name of the albums, location data, and machine learning for an album or face recognition. The tool seems to work on the web app in the same way.

According to reports, it should arrive to other users soon, while the latest Google Photos app is already available on the Play store.

Just recently, Google Photos got an update with improved album sorting, which is quite useful considering that many users store their photos on Google’s proprietary app.

Google also added improvements to the cropping tool inside the application, as a better rotation slider was implemented as well. In addition, the company added a button that lets users keep the aspect ratio while resizing the box for adding more elements.
