Google started rolling out Duo video calling app last week and its highly anticipated Allo messaging app has yet to be released. Some features have been revealed thanks to the beta testing program and one of them is the option to get answers to questions in voice messages.

Android Police found that Google Assistant will come with the option to answer questions in voice messages in Allo application. Assistant is based on Google Now / OK Google commands and the feature will be able to interpret voice messages in Allo.

However, Google's Assistant won't be able to answer questions inside Incognito mode for privacy reasons and because such conversations are encrypted.

Users will be able to type a question or record a voice message inside Allo and get an answer from Google's Assistant. The service will first transcribe the message and then provide the answer. The question can be sent even when users are offline and the answer will be received once they connect to the Internet again.

However, it's worth noting that the feature seemed to appear during a few tests in the preview version and results could be different in the final version of Allo and Assistant.

Allo is also expected to come with expiring messages, a feature that's found inside Snapchat. Users will be able to send messages linked to a certain period of time and they will be automatically deleted from the chat, once that time period expires.
