Fitbit, one of the most popular applications that allow users to track all-day activity, workouts and health, has just received a small update that brings a few new features and some improvements.

First of all, the update adds Mobile Run, a new feature that allows you to use GPS to track your pace and routes during runs, walks and hikes. But that's not all. The latest version of Fitbit comes with Mobile Badges support.

According to the official changelog, developers confirm that All-Day Sync (Background sync) now has much improved stability and is enabled by default.

Last but not least, Fitbit mentions that the update contains miscellaneous bug fixes, but no additional details on any of them have been share yet.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Fitbit for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.

Keep in mind that Fitbit for Windows Phone requires Lumia devices running the Lumia Cyan firmware, so it won't work on Windows Phones made by other manufacturers.

You can connect with Fitbit's line of activity trackers and the Aria Smart Scale in order to get a more complete report of your daily stats, including steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, weight and more.
