Over the weekend, we shared some details about the Lenovo-backed ZUK Z1 smartphone, which will reportedly arrive with Cyanogen OS out of the box and a fingerprint scanner.

Today, we come back to this smartphone model to share with you the first camera samples which were posted by Lenovo’s Senior Vice President Chen Xudong himself on his Weibo account (as seen at Gizmo China).

While we don’t really have any information about the types of cameras the smartphone will pack on board, the results seem to be quite decent, showing that the device is capable of taking focused and clear shots even in a low light environment (nature at sundown).

ZUK is Lenovo’s new subsidiary which will be focused on delivering an advanced software experience. Actually, we’re told that ZUK was established to help the parent company become a better presence on the domestic market in China, where it is up against competition from companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, and others.

On the international front, Lenovo is also prepping smartphones of its own, but we should also expect to see new models come out of Motorola. In recent days, we have seen the third-generation Moto X and third-generation Moto G surface online with specs and images. So we should see a lot of interesting new things come out of Lenovo in the next months.
