Dropbox has just updated its Windows Phone application with several new features and improvements meant to enhance the user experience even further.

The most important addition to Dropbox for Windows Phone seems to be the Recent tab, which provides users with a new home view list of all the files they have used recently.

With the latest version of Dropbox, developers promise that all the files you might need will now be in front and center for easy access.

The new Invitations feature allows users to invite their friends to try out Dropbox and get more storage space in return. If a friend uses the invite you sent on either desktop or mobile, then both of you will receive bonus space.

Video streaming is now available in Dropbox for Windows Phone as well, so you will no longer need to download video files to watch them, thus saving time and bandwidth.

Furthermore, the latest update adds the ability to save web links to Dropbox and the option to open internet shortcuts. A text viewer has been added too, along with a new option for favorite: view in parent folder.

Last but not least, the official changelog mentions that some bug fixes and performance improvements have been implemented as well.

You can now download Dropbox for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
