It’s a good day for Cyanogen fans, as their favorite company has announced support for more mid-range Android handsets. On top of that, Cyanogen says it is hard at work on porting CM to more flagship models like the HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, and LG G4.

But let’s stick to middle-range devices for now. Starting now, the second-gen Motorola Moto E and third-gen Moto G will be getting CyanogenMod 12 support. And finally, after a long time, Huawei models such as the Honor 4, Honor 5X, Huawei Ascend Mate 2 and Huawei Snapto have gained Cyanogen support too.

Browsing through Cyanogen's blog post, we learn that the company has added support for smartphones from Smartfren (an Indonesian device maker), WileyFox and Oppo as well.

Furthermore, we’re told that the Korean version of the LG G, Samsung Galaxy S5 in Japan and China, and the HTC One M8 dual-SIM will work with the latest version of CyanogenMod. Even better, the support expands all the way to a bunch of Xiaomi models like the Mi3w and Mi4.

If you have a mid-range device of your own and you think you’d like to give CyanogenMod a shot, go ahead and check the list to see if your device is eligible or not. Cyanogen is slowly gaining more and more ground, and the inclusion of more affordable units is a sign that the company is thriving in its quest to dethrone Android.
