ZTE has just released a new high-end Android smartphone that is going on sale for a pretty low price, the V987. This is a cheaper version of the Grand S, though it still offers great features.

According to UnwiredView, the ZTE V987 is now available for purchase in China for only 1,700 yuan outright, which is about $275 or €205.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a more than decent 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor.

ZTE V987 also embeds 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Another strong point of the phone is the stunning 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It also boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera, 1-megapixel front-facing camera and a high-capacity 2,500 mAh Li-Ion battery.
