It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard
Chinese company ZTE has just announced the immediate availability of its first dual-mode LTE smartphone, the Grand Era.The smartphone is now available for purchase in Hong Kong, though the handset maker did not offer any details on pricing options.
The ZTE Grand Era supports China Mobile’s (Hong Kong) first commercial converged TD-LTE / LTE FDD network.
The device is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, integrated with ZTE’s customizable Mifavor UI.
It also packs a high-end 1.5GHz dual-core processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM. The ZTE Grand Era LTE boasts a vibrant 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (1280 x 720) resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
“With the growing popularity of the LTE environment in Hong Kong, LTE smart terminal products will become more prevalent in the future, which will also be the model for LTE development in mainland China, further accelerating the maturity of the global TD-LTE industry,” said Mr. He Shiyou, ZTE EVP and head of the terminal division.
