A new flavor of the YouTube application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 5.1.10.

The app is already rolling out to users out there, and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, although it is listed there with an older version, namely 5.0.21.

The new software iteration arrives on smartphones and tablet PCs with a new notification setting, meant to provide users with alerts on new videos that match their interests.

At the same time, the app supposedly comes with new ads placed at the top the first list of videos displayed when opening the app, droid-life reports.

Unfortunately, Google did not release a changelog for the application, and we’re not sure whether other features and enhancements were included in this release.
