On Wednesday, Yota Devices announced that it had partnered with Singapore Hi-P for the manufacturing of its YotaPhone, a dual-screen Android handset that features both a liquid crystal display and an electronic paper panel.

Following the signing of this deal, the new device, which was made official back in December last year, is expected to hit shelves in Russia and other markets around the world in the second half of the year.

“YotaPhone is a real differentiator in the smartphone space, and Hi-P is pleased to be working with Yota Devices to bring this one-of-a-kind product to market,” said C.T. Yao, executive chairman and CEO of Hi-P.

The company says that it is committed to building a great quality smartphone for Yota Devices. However, it remains to be seen when exactly the phone will be launched, and what price tag it will feature.
