Yahoo! has just released a new version of their email client for Android devices. Unfortunately, most of the changes included are aimed at Android tablet users.

First of all, developers confirmed they have created a new layout for tablet users. A new starred folder for viewing important email has been added as well, along with a new “reading mode” that makes reading emails much easier.

With the latest version of Yahoo! Mail, tablet users will be able to access an advanced triage feature that will allow them to manage their inbox quicker.

Yahoo! also mentioned they have “rethought” how users switch accounts based on market feedback. Basically, users will now be able to switch accounts via the sidebar menu. Last but not least, some “glorious” bug fixes have been added as well.

Yahoo! Mail 2.5 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
