Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has reportedly started to push out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system upgrade to the owners of Xperia ZR (C550X) smartphones. At least this is what some of those who have already received it suggest.

The update has landed on their devices as firmware version 10.3.1.A.0.244, being the same build as the one that is currently rolling out to Xperia Z and Xperia ZR handsets out there, a recent post on XperiaBlog reads.

At the moment, the update appears to have started to arrive only on devices in Norway, though it might be pushed to handsets in other markets as well in the near future.

Previously, Sony had announced that it would make Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean available on Xperia ZR starting with early August.
