Japanese mobile phone maker Sony has finally decided to make the Xperia Z flagship Android smartphone available for purchase in the United States through its online store.

The device comes with a price tag of $629.99 (482 Euro) attached to it.

The smartphone is available for purchase SIM-free and unlocked, though only the HSPA+ version (C6602) of the device was launched via the Sony Store, it seems.

The LTE flavor of the smartphone, featuring model number C6606, is nowhere to be seen, but XperiaBlog notes that this flavor could be a T-Mobile exclusive.

Sony released the Xperia Z in the US in all three color flavors, including Black, Purple, and White, and also dropped the price tag of the Xperia ZL, which was launched with support for North American LTE networks.

This device is currently available for purchase through Sony at $629.99, the same as Xperia Z. Initially, it was $759.99 (582 Euro).
