Xperia S, the top smartphone that Sony launched this year in its Xperia line, did not offer support for the PlayStation Store right from the beginning.

Today, however, it appears that it can deliver the capability to its users. The PlayStation Store placeholder link in the phone's app tray will get users to a web page from where they will be able to download the PlayStation Store and PS Pocket app.

Those users who will download the apps and would like to get a taste of the available titles should first set their devices to allow for the installation of software from unofficial sources.

They will then have to install the two apps, which will open a catalog of numerous games for their phones (although some of the games included in the store only work on the Xperia Play).

Users should also keep in mind that the access to these games is conditioned by the owning of a PlayStation Network or Sony Entertainment Network account.
