Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has started to push out new software updates for the owners of Xperia M and Xperia SP devices out there.

The Sony Xperia M handset is currently receiving firmware update 15.4.A.1.9, which follows the previously available build number 15.4.A.0.23 for the device.

As XperiaBlog notes, this appears to be a consistent update for the handset, though no specific info on what it would include has been provided as of now.

Users should be seeing the update as available for their devices right now, though not all of them will receive it right away, since this is most probably a staged rollout.

As for the Xperia SP, its users are currently receiving firmware version 12.1.A.1.205, which is being pushed on top of the previously released build number 12.1.A.1.201 for the device.

Most probably, the new release comes with various small bug fixes and enhancements for the smartphone, yet no official changelog for the update has been revealed as of now, said news site reports.

Those of you who own a Sony Xperia SP handset should already see the new software as available for download and install. Let us know in the comments below if there are any visible changes packed inside it.
