Xbox SmartGlass, the application that allows users to control their Xbox 360 console with their smartphone or tablet, has just received a small but important update.

Those who have yet to install Xbox SmartGlass on their Android devices should know that this application requires an Xbox membership to sign in.

Back to the recent update, Xbox SmartGlass has been improved with support for HTC DNA devices and better parental controls. In addition, developers claim they have addressed all security concerns as well.

These are the only changes included in this update, but we expect Microsoft to continue improving the application via new updates.

Xbox SmartGlass 1.5 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0+ that feature WVGA screen resolution or higher. Check it out here.
