The apps store has worked intermittently for the last couple of hours

It looks like Microsoft might be working on something that would change the face of Windows Phone Store website, or there may be some bugs that need to be addressed.

The thing is that Windows Phone Store website is currently down, which means that you can’t access any applications unless you do it directly from your Windows Phone handset.

We’ve noticed that the website worked intermittently for the last couple of hours, but now it does not seem to load any webpages anymore. Any search you do on the website will be unsuccessful: “Unfortunately, we can’t get search results at the moment. Try again later.”

If you already have the link of a certain application, you will get another error message that urges you to try again later: “Something happened, and we can't get to the page you want at the moment. Try again in a little while.”

Hopefully, Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store website is not the target of any DDoS attacks like so many others. We have contacted Microsoft for more details on the matter, so stay tuned for an official statement.

Have you tried accessing Windows Phone Store website lately? Does it work for you? You can share the status of the website at your location in the comments.

Update: The website is now back online. Apparently the Windows Phone Store website did not work in some countries for some reasons. We'll update again when we found out more.
