Wireless carrier T-Mobile has started to push out a new software update to the owners of Windows Phone 8X by HTC devices on its network, in an attempt to provide them with a better audio experience when using the VoIP app Skype.

Released on devices starting with January 28, the new software update does not seem to arrive with other enhancements, at least this is what the changelog that T-Mobile has published on its support website notes.

As WMPoweruser reports, the new update will be delivered to handsets over-the-air (OTA). It will arrive as OS flavor 8.0.10211.204, firmware version 1532.20.20008.531.

“Microsoft will send notification that the software update is available, but you can manually pull the over the air update when it becomes available by going to phone update > check for updates,” T-Mobile continues.
