After being delivered to Nokia’s Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones, the latest Windows Phone 8 update (software version 8.0.10211.204) started to arrive on T-Mobile’s Windows Phone 8X by HTC devices as well.

The wireless carrier has delayed the release of this update by a few days, apparently in an attempt to make sure that the software was indeed ready for deployment.

The update enables users to reply to incoming calls with pre-written texts, as well as to keep the data usage on their devices to a minimum through disabling automatic download of images in Internet Explorer.

The new platform release also arrives on handsets with enhancements brought to text messaging, as well as with Wi-Fi connectivity improvements. For the time being, no specific info on when the update will land on 8X at other carriers has been provided.
