Select developers are already receiving the updated tools

Windows Phone 8, the next flavor of Microsoft’s mobile operating system, is expected to become official on October 29th, with devices set to hit shelves only days after.

The Redmond-based software giant is also working on providing developers with new tools to ensure that applications are released for the new OS, and it seems that it might have managed to push these tools to a Release Candidate status.

The Windows Phone 8 SDK was made available for some developers back in September in a beta flavor, and chances are that more of them will be provided with access to the tools, now that the final release is getting closer.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of yet, but WMPoweruser notes that select developers are already receiving the RC of the SDK, so that they can have applications published in the Windows Phone Store for the WP 8 launch.
