Windows Phone 8.1, the latest flavor of Microsoft’s mobile operating system, is expected to start arriving in France as soon as July 8, though only on Nokia Lumia 925 smartphones, and only at wireless carrier SFR.

The mobile phone operator has already confirmed that the new platform iteration will land starting next week as an over-the-air update, and that it will weigh 150MB.

Moreover, it appears that owners of Nokia Lumia 925 devices will also receive a series of additional enhancements alongside the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.

Two fixes will be included in the software release, namely one for incorrect wording when the automatic configuration of Exchange accounts does not work, and another for the count of missed or rejected calls not always being accurate.

As WMPoweruser points out, Microsoft has already started to deliver the new update to the owners of Lumia 925 devices in Finland and Argentina, albeit only as a test pilot deployment.

However, it appears that the company will actually kick off the global rollout of this update soon, and that this smartphone will be the very first one to get a taste of it on other markets as well. Hopefully, more info on the deployment of Windows Phone 8.1 will arrive soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
