Following the release of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Developer Preview yesterday, users have started to notice some new features in the platform, in addition to what Microsoft has already officially announced for it, and one of them is Internet Sharing over Bluetooth.

As WPCentral explains, the update actually added some new Bluetooth profiles, including PAN (personal area network) 1.0, aptX codec support for A2DP, and browsing support for AVRCP.

When it comes to PAN, users will now see an additional option, which allows them to share the connection via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, a brand new feature to Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1.

However, it appears that this is only one of the new capabilities included in the platform but not detailed as of now.

A recent post on nokiapoweruser points out that the Speech settings have been updated and that a new option is available there, namely “improve recognition for non-native speakers.”

Additionally, the Alarm application has received an update, and there is also a new Live Tile for the Windows Phone Store meant to keep users up to date with new applications in the portal.

For those of you who did not get the chance to download and install the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Developer Preview, here’s a guide on how you can easily do so.
