Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is expected to officially announce a Windows Phone 8.1 version of its HTC One (M8) flagship smartphone later this month, and some more info on the connectivity capabilities that will be included inside it has emerged today.

According to previous reports on the phone, Verizon Wireless should be one of the carriers to add it to its offering (something that should happen on August 21), which suggested that support for this operator's 4G LTE network would be included in the device.

However, it appears that the smartphone will also feature support for European LTE networks when released. The Windows Phone 8.1 device has made an appearance at the GSM Global Certification Forum with said connectivity capabilities inside.

The phone’s listing there shows support for LTE bands 3 and 7, which are commonly used in Europe, while also packing support for LTE bands 4 and 13 for Verizon, and for band 4 used by AT&T. The handset will also include compatibility with CDMA and GSM networks, as WMPoweruser points out.

The aforementioned listing does not necessarily confirm that the phone will be released in Europe, but it does suggest that Verizon will launch it with global connectivity capabilities inside right from the start.

This is something that the wireless carrier has done for other devices out there, allowing users to enjoy global roaming capabilities right out of the box, and the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1-based HTC One M8 variant should have a similar fate.

Rumor has it that the mobile phone will go official on August 19 under the name of HTC One W8, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
