Several hours ago, Nokia Care officially confirmed that the Windows Phone 7.8 update was rolling out to devices once again, and Microsoft themselves have provided some more details on the matter.

The platform upgrade is currently being pushed to handsets as update 7.10.8862.144, and sports all the features and enhancements that Microsoft already announced for Windows Phone 7.8 (previously pushed to handsets as version 7.10.8858.136).

On top of that, the Redmond-based software giant notes that the new software release comes with a series of fixes for the Live Tile issues that affected devices in the previous version.

“Live Tiles. Fixes performance issues from a previous update,” the changelog published on Microsoft’s support website unveils.

Before the 8862 update, Microsoft started to deliver build 7.10.8860.142 to eligible devices, though it seems that the aforementioned issue with the Live Tiles was not resolved in that release, WMPoweruser reports.
