The carrier announced a delay in the release of the update for HTC Titan

Australian mobile phone carrier Telstra is getting ready for the release of a new software update to the owners of Samsung Omnia W and LG c900k devices on its network, providing them with the features and benefits of Windows Phone 7.8.

The wireless carrier has announced that it has already completed the testing of the new software, and that the deployment of the update will start in a couple of weeks, on June 6, WMPOweruser notes.

Unfortunately, the update won’t arrive on the HTC Titan at the same time, as the carrier is waiting for a new firmware release for this smartphone.

“Telstra approved the update on 14 February however Microsoft is investigating some reports related to Live Tile functionality in Windows Phone 7.8 and as a result a new FW submission has been provided,” Telstra announced, according to gizmodo.com.au.
