Wikipedia, the source of all knowledge, has just received an update for its Android client. The application received a much better tablet interface along with a slew of bug fixes and new features.

Another useful change added with the latest update is the Quick Search Bar integration, which makes it easier to search for something while on the move.

Starting with version 1.1, users will be able to open Wikipedia URLs from any application using this Android client. There’s also a Full Text Search and “Did You Mean?” correction support.

Last but not least, users who find an article and want to save it for later reading will be able to do so thanks to the newly integrated save to SD card support.

Wikipedia 1.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play, and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
