It took WhatsApp developers almost two weeks to fix the notification issues in their Windows Phone application, but the good news is the instant messenger is now available for download once again.

We reported a few hours ago Microsoft's Joe Belfiore confirmed a fix for the notifications issues had already been built and that the application would be back in Windows Phone Store “quite soon.”

Well, it appears that “soon” was soon enough, as we have just been informed that WhatsApp Messenger is back on Windows Phone Store. Here is the full changelog:

- Chat backgrounds; - Broadcast lists; - Privacy settings (settings / account / privacy); - Media auto-download settings (settings / chat settings / media autodownload); - Custom notification tones (Windows Phone 8 Update 3 required); - Various enhancements and bug fixes.

Anyway, it's great that so many Windows Phone fans who have just switched from other platforms are now able to download WhatsApp on their devices.

Owners of Nokia Lumia 630 who have been waiting eagerly to get WhatsApp on their new Windows Phone 8.1 devices will now be able to do so as well.

You can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Windows Phone 2.11.490.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up (including Windows Phone 8.1).
