We already know a WhatsApp Messenger application for Windows Phone 8 is in the works and that it will be 6x faster than the previous versions. However, we’re still not sure when exactly it will land in Windows Phone Store.

Well, it appears that the folks over at MyNokiaBlog have the answer to this question. According to some Nokia Care representatives, WhatsApp Messenger for Windows Phone 8 is about to make its debut in Windows Phone Store.

“In response to your concern, kindly note that The WhatsApp Messenger application for WP8 phones is being updated to a newer version and it will be available in the Microsoft Store by the end of this week so its better to wait for it as the application you have downloaded from www.windowsphone.com is not compatible with Lumia 920.”

Although there are no details on the exact release date of the application, at least we know we won’t have to wait too long. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
