Symbian users rejoice, as WhatsApp has just released a new version of its instant messenger on its website. Given the fact that Nokia Store does not allow any more updates to be uploaded, you will only be able to install the new version via third-party stores.

Anyway, it appears that WhatsApp Messenger for Symbian has been updated to version 2.11.461, but aside from iteration number, we can’t tell what other changes have been included.

The latest version of the application does not come with an official changelog, so we must assume that it brings small changes like bug fixes and tweaks. New features might have been added as well, but only Symbian users could confirm that without a changelog.

Those who already have the application installed on their devices will have to replace it with the new version of WhatsApp. New users can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Symbian 2.11.461 for free via Softpedia.

According to the developers, the application requires unlimited Internet data plan and is only compatible with Nokia S60 3rd edition, 5th edition, Symbian^3, Symbian Anna, or Symbian Belle Operating System. Have you gotten the update yet? Please share with us any changes you might have noticed on the new version of WhatsApp.
