WhatsApp Messenger for Android has been updated once again and is now available for download as version 2.11.69. The app received an update in the Google Play Store as well, though users will see it only as version 2.11.68 there.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what the new software release brings along has been provided, as the official changelog for it hasn’t been updated as of now.

However, we can assume that the new iteration of the WhatsApp Messenger includes mainly bug fixes and minor improvements. These changes were previously made available through the latest small build upgrades released via WhatsApp’s own website.

The cross-platform messenger can be downloaded for free for all Android 2.1 and newer smartphones and tablet PCs. Users can enjoy the service for free for one year, but will have to pay $0.99 (€0.75) per year to continue using it after that.
