Unveiled last year in February at Mobile World Congress, HTC Salsa was launched on the market four months later. HTC Salsa is one of the two Facebook-centric phones manufactured by the Taiwanese company last year.

The Salsa is delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, but several maintenance updates were deployed over the past few months.

In this regard, Vodafone Australia announced the availability of a minor update for the HTC Salsa, which is pushed OTA (over the air). The update is approximately 18.3MB in size, so it won’t take more than 5 minutes to install it.

According to the carrier, the update fixes several known bugs as well as a Twitter and a critical Wi-Fi security issue. Before installing the update it is recommended to back up all the data stored on the phone.
