Canadian wireless carrier Virgin Mobile is reportedly gearing up for the release of Samsung’s Galaxy Ace 2 smartphone on its network.

Launched as an entry-level device, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 will hit shelves with a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, as well as with a dual-core 800MHz processor, which is complemented by 768MB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset comes with 4GB of internal memory, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper, and a 1,500mAh battery packed inside.

No specific info on when the handset would be released has emerged so far, but the guys over at MobileSyrup suggest that it will be launched in the coming weeks.

Canada’s Bell might also add it to its offering, it seems. Both wireless carriers are expected to price the phone at $200 – $250 outright.
