Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile is about to launch its own LTE services on March 16. The network operator plans to launch its 4G LTE network at the same time with the new iPad.

The information is confirmed by an internal document leaked via MobileSyrup. According to this document, Virgin Mobile’s LTE network is expected to cover “6 million Canadians in 14 urban centers across Canada.”

It appears that Virgin Mobile customers who own LTE-enabled devices will be able to experience “peak speeds up to 75 Mbps (expected average speeds of 12 – 25 Mbps).”

Although the carrier does not reveal the list of 14 cities that will benefit from LTE services, we should expect the following areas to feature 4G network coverage: Toronto, Halifax, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Belleville, Yellowknife, Montréal, Québec City, Ottawa, London, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
