Vimeo has finally updated its official Windows Phone application with new features and visual improvements. More importantly, the application now supports Windows Phone 8 operating system.

Another interesting addition is the NFC (Near Field Communication) tap-to-share capability, which allows users to quickly share Vimeo videos.

Developers also added HD video support, along with the possibility to add videos to Groups, Channels and Albums. Several bug fixes have been included as well, along with a new, slightly refreshed user interface.

Other highlights of the new application include:

- Create live tiles from your videos or featured channels; - Easily like, comment on, and add videos to your Watch Later queue; - Pause and resume uploads; - Replace existing videos; - Share via Facebook, Twitter, email, or SMS.

Vimeo 1.3.0.419 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 platform. Check it out here.
