One of the appealing features that handset vendor BlackBerry packed its BlackBerry 10 OS with is an Android runtime that enables users to run ported Android applications on their devices.

This function appears to have allowed one enthusiast to bring Facebook Home to his smartphone.

The phone, a BlackBerry Q10 model, was running under BlackBerry OS 10.2 (build 10.2.0.663), which sports the Android 4.2.2 runtime, and allowed for various applications to be loaded on the device without the need to perform tweaks to it.

Facebook Home, which was made available for download for a handful of Android devices a few months ago, was one of them, as the video embedded above shows.

The same as on Google’s mobile operating system, Facebook Home will act as a launcher for the Android apps loaded on on the BlackBerry 10.2-based handset, CrackBerry points out.
