After two months of waiting, Viber Media, the company behind one of the most popular communications app for Windows Phone devices, has just released a new version of Viber aimed at WP8-based devices.

Aside from the fact that Viber is now fully compatible with all Windows Phone 8 devices and supports free calls with HD sound quality, users can also send free text and photo messages.

Viber also features Live Tiles support, along with the capability to connect with friends in group conversations of up to 40 participants. Users can pin conversations to their home screen and share their location in messages.

Last but not least, the new version of Viber features support for 30 languages and lock screen notifications.

Viber 2.23.0.0 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up. Check it out here.
