Viber, one of the most popular VoIP messaging applications in the world, is set to arrive on BlackBerry 10 devices in the not too distant future, and the company’s CEO has already confirmed that.

However, it seems that users would have to wait for the next version of the mobile operating system to be released before they could take advantage of the app’s features.

In a recent interview with Tru Tower, Viber CEO Talmon Marco confirmed that the company was working on a mobile client for BlackBerry’s latest OS, but that it would arrive “likely hand in hand with the release of BB 10.2.”

No specific info on when the next BlackBerry 10 platform update will arrive has been provided as of now, but the Canadian handset vendor has already sent the platform to developer devices, which suggests that specifics on its official release might be provided soon.
