14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has been long rumored to plan the release of a new mid-range smartphone from Samsung, previously spotted under the codename of Godiva, and now said to have already received the necessary approvals from the FCC.
The smartphone emerged at the feds with model number SCH-i425, while packing support for Big Red’s CDMA and LTE bands, as well as for AWS networks.
With GSM connectivity also included in the package, the device appears set to be launched as a global device, while also including NFC capabilities inside, Engadget notes.
The Samsung SCH-i425 will arrive on shelves as a mid-ranger, which means that it will be able to deliver LTE capabilities to more Verizon users out there. However, it still remains to be seen when exactly it will be brought to the market, so stay tuned.
