Samsung has finally made the Verizon Galaxy S4 Developer Edition smartphone available for purchase, for all those interested in enjoying an easily unlockable device.

Available for purchase through Samsung’s own website, the new mobile phone arrives with the same features and capabilities as the original, only that it sports an unlockable bootloader, which makes it easier for users to load custom software on it.

However, the feature doesn’t come cheap, and those who would like to take advantage of it will need to pay no less than $649.99 (€496) for the device, contract-free.

The Galaxy S4 Developer Edition comes with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, a 5-inch full HD screen, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel main camera, front camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI loaded on top.
