Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has already confirmed plans to add the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone to its offering, although it did not offer specific info on when that would happen.

However, it appears that the launch date for the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone at Big Red is drawing near, as the device has received the necessary approvals from the FCC a few days ago.

The BlackBerry Z10 is expected to land in the United States in the coming weeks, with the white flavor of the device exclusively available on Verizon’s network.

The phone will be launched with support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, as well as with all the features and capabilities that it was already unveiled with.

Users will enjoy a 4.2-inch screen on this device, along with a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper.
