Major carrier Verizon Wireless has just announced the Samsung ATIV Odyssey will hit shelves tomorrow, January 24. The smartphone will be available for as low as $50/€35 after a $50/€35 mail-in rebate and a new two-year agreement.

Customers looking for an affordable Windows Phone 8 might find the ATIV Odyssey pretty tempting. Even though it comes with lower specs than the original ATIV S smartphone, it still is an interesting alternative to Lumia phones.

Samsung ATIV Odyssey sports a decent 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels) and packs a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core processor.

It also features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
