Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has already announced plans to make the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system available for many of its Xperia devices, but hasn’t managed to meet the promised deadline, and hasn’t unveiled a new release timeframe for the update either.

In fact, those who will head over to Sony’s support website will see that December 2013 is still listed as the availability window for the update.

To rectify that, an Xperia user has started a petition to determine Sony to offer specific details on when it will make the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update available for the Xperia SP, T, TX, V models.

As can be seen on the petition’s page, over one thousand users have already signed it, with many more expected to do so soon. You should go read the petition and sign it, especially if you’re directly interested in the matter.
